Höst (Autumn) - Djupmyrberget

Lofi downbeat electro jazz (or thereabout)

Djupmyrberget is a Swedish duo, each of us born in the woodlands, one in the forests bordering the southern plains, and the other among the trees that silhouettes the northern aurora during the long winter nights.

Between us we span geography, generations, and influencing genres, melting things within electronica, jazz, downbeat and Swedish folk music into our own alloy.

In a picture-perfect 19th century farm, in the northern woodland of Västerbotten, "Höst" – our first release, was composed and recorded during one late autumn week, using one microphone, piano, bass, saw, synth, a few feet stomps, and a few samples.

Time was only insignificantly passing, as a parenthesis in the periphery of our consciousness.

It was precisely that time of year when the leaves leave their branches.

The time just before winter sets in, when the first snow is falling but still melts in the weak sun.

At this time of year, in this part of Sweden, the sun never travels very far from the horizon, and the days are short.

This is the time of year we call "Höst".

We hope you enjoy.
